Keysight Technologies
Keysight Technologies is a leading software company, specialising in software for electronic design, manufacturing and testing. Their products include electronic design automation (EDA), instrument control and emulators. They have generously supported GU Orbit by proving essential equipment such as a Waveform Generator, Power Supply, Digital Multimeter and Oscilloscope.
ThalesAlenia Space
ThalesAlenia Space is a leader in satellite technology, enabling governments and companies to deliver satellite systems for observation, environment monitoring and space discovery. In collaboration with the University of Birmingham, they have supported GU Orbit in developing an educational CubeSat Assembly, Integration and Verification (AIV) breadboard. They have also provided training to our engineers in system modelling using Capella.
AIRBUS
Airbus is Europe’s largest aeronautics and space company, widely known for their commercial aircraft and their work in the space sector. Airbus organises several prestigious student space competitions, including the Satellite Design Competition, the Airbus Space Competition and the Olympus Rover Trials. Since 2020, GU Orbit has entered competitions supported by Airbus, winning the Satellite Design Competition in 2020 and the Olympus Rover Trials in 2025. Additionally, Airbus has provided mentoring to GU Orbit through a UniCom representative.
GU68 Engineers' Trust
GU68 Engineers’ Trust is an organisation comprised of Glasgow University alumni, dedicated to supporting student engineering projects at the university with the aim of advancing education. The Trust has awarded £1500 to GU Orbit in funding to support the development of our projects.
